Well today is the Friday the 13th. Maybe you are looking forward to this day or you re spooked by Friday the 13th if you are, then you suffer from paraskevidekatriaphobia. Well this day is supposedly unlucky day, according to some. So I want to take a closer look this mambo jambo.
Some of my conspiracy nut online friends are somehow found an irrational way to link "Friday the 13th" to Bible events and there have been numerous opinions and claims that the Friday the 13th is a "unlucky day" and where it originated. My opinion really if you ask me all of them are based on paganism, witchcraft and Satanism.
We know that there's no connection between Roman Calendar(Pope Gregory's Calendar) to God's calendar of the Bible. Although the first to seventh days of the week have been the same since the time of Creation. Now to those who no doubt were influenced by the Friday the 13th superstition, have invented a number of non-existent "Friday the 13th" events in the Bible let's take a looksie.
They say - "Eve gave the apple to Adam on Friday"
Answer: There is no record what-so-ever as to what day of the week Eve gave the "apple" to Adam, also the Bible doesn't even specify what kind of fruit it actually was. What Adam and Eve did was not a matter of "luck" they chose to disobey God regardless of what day it was.
They say- "The great flood began on a Friday"
Answer: There is no record what-so-ever as to what day of the week The Flood began, but regardless, it was not a matter of "luck" - it was caused by God to wipe out a humanity that had chosen to corrupt itself (Genesis 6:11-13).
They say - "The Temple of Solomon was destroyed on a Friday"
Answer: Again, let say if it was, it had nothing to do with "luck." It was God, Who not only permitted the destruction, but brought it about as a punishment for the Israelites' deliberate corruption of themselves.
They say - "Execution day was Friday in Rome"
Answer: The Romans (Ancient Empires - Rome) executed people all the time; no matter what it was and the most famous crucifixion done by the Romans was on a Wednesday anyway not Friday.
They say "Jesus Christ was crucified on Friday the 13th"
Answer: This is totally false, but even if He was, the sacrifice of the Lamb of God was not "bad luck." Jesus Christ came to be put to death for what we, humanity, have done - if The Messiah was not crucified, regardless of what day of the week it was, the world would have no Savior.
So I say to you, do not believe this nonsense this superstition about Friday the 13th, this is just that, "an irrational belief arising from ignorance or fear." You have to think that anything, good or bad, can happen on any day or date. The only "fear" you should have is what it says on the Bible.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
Psalm 27:1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?
Know God and you shall know fear, Love God and you cast away fear.
