Oh how I love Packer football. This week the Packers will take on the 0-1 Buffalo Bills right at home. This game will be an interesting one. It will be interesting to see how the Packers offense adjusts with the notable absence of running back Ryan Grant. Brandon Jackson, the fourth year running back will have to fill in and take the responsibility and John Kuhn 5th year vet. Packs will have to rely on Jackson's fancy footwork ability, and Kuhn's toughness. Last week Jackson rushed for 63 yards on 18 carries, while Kuhn posted 53 yards and a TD on 13 carries against the Flying Chicken (Eagles?).
Coach Mike McCarthy said at the press conf:
"Brandon Jackson played extremely well in both the run and the protection, and had the two catches. We had four explosive runs, which is outstanding and that's a big credit to Brandon," McCarthy said. He added, "John [Kuhn] has done a very good job with his limited opportunities," McCarthy said. "Every time you put the ball in John's hand he's been productive, and we feel very good about him."
Also we will see what this shift in the running game will do to Doc Rodgers passing game. Rodgers him self said that he was off last week. I thought he did pretty good. Isn't what we call it "season opener jitters"? Well this upcoming game with the Bills should be a good practice for Doc so he can return to his usual groove like he did last season. His third down passing rating is awesome. No other quarterback threw for as many yards (1,710) or touchdowns (14) on third down as Rodgers. He has proven his ability to connect when its needed. O yea remember Brett Favre? yea.. there's time he did miraculous touchdown pass and occasional soul crushing interception. I strongly believe if Rodgers continues to develop his skills under pressure, his reliability and dependability he'll be alright.
My fav Linebacker Clay Matthews did awesome last week, and o yea you know he'll dominate at home. He did a career-high nine tackles and matched his career best with two sacks and a bag of chip. So Dom Capers, I say keep Matthews, AJ Hawk and star cornerback Charles Woodson up to speed.
So do you think Packs will win? ,, I say yes, experts says yes. ESPN did some 10,000 simulations done by Accu-Score, and the Packers won 75% of the time by an average of ten points. So unless you believe in fairy tales or a die hard Bills fan, I say pack will have a good practice this Sunday. O yea did you guys see Crosby's franchise-record 56-yard field goal? Who ever has him in Fantasy football must have been very proud, co'z I know I am. He can do better than last year, I'm sure he'll have the opportunity to show it this season and prove it.
so Go Packs GO!
